Spring in Baltimore

May 26, 2016

Location: Baltimore • May 25st, 2016

Outfit Details:
J. Crew Top, Banana Republic Skirt, Jeffery Campbell Heels, Kate Spade Bag

After four weeks of gray skies and rain, we finally have sunshine in Baltimore. Hallelujah!!! Spring is my favorite season with all of the flowers in blooms and Baltimore makes it look good! Since I grew up mostly around white magnolia trees, imagine my shock when I discovered this sea of pink!!!

This view has become one of my favorites in Baltimore. You can see the other side of the monument in an earlier post (here). The Washington Monument in Baltimore was the first major monument to honor George Washington and predates the one in D.C. The same architect designed both monuments. People in Baltimore like to joke that this monument "actually has George Washington on it." Danny and I shot these photos back in March.

I love a good skirt that twirls and this pleated one from Banana Republic is no different. It is so comfortable and easy to dress up or down. This skirt would pair well with a gray or white v-neck shirt for a more casual look.

Location: Chapel Hill • May 19th, 2016

Outfit Details:
Zara Top, WhoWhatWear x Target Skirt, Casadei Heels,  NARS Audacious Lipstick in "Rita"

I love birthdays! Birthdays are for celebrating that I've lived to be another year older, to reflect on the year that has passed, and to grab all of my family and friends together for a party! Every new year is a blessing and a reminder to be thankful for what I have. Bring on the balloons, party hats, champagne & cake!

Pink Mural? YES! I thought doing a fun little photoshoot in front of this gorgeous mural would be a great way to start the last year of my twenty's.

5 fun facts that I have learned about myself in my twenties.

1. I've become obsessed with beets
2. I still hate asparagus
3. I love earmuffs, but hate the cold
4. I am clumsy in flat shoes
5. I would pick a Marvel movie over a rom-com any night of the week

Dressed Up in Annapolis

May 12, 2016

Location: Annapolis • May 12th, 2016

Outfit Details:
Club Monaco Dress, Casadei Heels, Kate Spade Bag, NARS Lipstick in "Dolce Vita"

A few weeks back, Danny and I attended our friends wedding in Annapolis and I couldn't wait to bring out this gorgeous Club Monaco dress for the occasion. They had a beautiful reception on the waterfront where we watched the sunset over the harbor with cocktails in hand.

As one who loves getting dressed up, I'm always really excited to attend events where everyone puts in the extra effort. I love celebrating life events with friends, especially weddings where it is a honor to be apart of the couple's special day.

Completed in 1908, the US Naval Academy Chapel stands as a focal point of the Academy and the city of Annapolis. If you are in Annapolis, this is definitely a landmark you won't want to miss!

The lace on this dress is so feminine and classic, with the style of the dress being fitted and very flattering. Lately, I've been really drawn towards lace and this dress is no exception. I do tend to shy away from the color green however, so is this was a first for me! The dark green color makes the dress very versatile, perfect for both spring and autumn occasion. For a fall event, I can imagine pairing the dress with black pumps and a light jacket.

Thanks for visiting!

Mount Vernon Place

May 6, 2016

Location: Baltimore • May 5th, 2016

Outfit Details:
WhoWhatWear x Target Dress, Madewell Heels, Ray Ban Sunglasses, Straw Hat, NARS Audacious Lipstick in "Rita"

The Washington Monument sits at the center of Mount Vernon Place and is surrounded by park squares. It's not hard to see why this instantly became a favorite place of mine! As soon as the weather warmed up (sooo much snow this year!),  Danny and I headed over to capture the hundreds of tulips that had popped up overnight.

With plenty of park benches and fountains, I love grabbing a cup of coffee from my favorite cafe nearby and people watch outside.

Earlier this year, Who What Wear launched a collection for Target and I am completely in love with their striped dress. It is so soft and comfortable, and I am such a sucker for stripes! Paired with simple black pumps and the straw hat I brought back from France last summer, I felt instantly transported back to the beautiful countryside in Avignon.

Afternoon Tea at the BMA

May 2, 2016

Location: Baltimore • April 21st, 2016

Outfit Details:
Club Monaco Top, Banana Republic Skirt, Casadei Heels, Kate Spade Bag

When I found out that there is a place in Baltimore that serves afternoon tea, I had to go immediately! Danny and I headed over to the beautiful Baltimore Museum of Art for a late afternoon treat. Gertrude's, located inside the BMA, serves afternoon tea only on the first weekend of every month and on special occasions. With Mother's Day right around the corner, this would be a wonderful way to spend time with your mom! Reservations are necessary.

Since our last visit to London and my “high tea” bridal shower, I’ve really missed the afternoon tea experience. I was so delighted to find a place that hosts teatime in my new city. Gertrude’s serves an assortment of scones, savory cakes, and sweets, including a delicious Baltimore-themed crab beignet. Have I mentioned my love for clotted cream?!  It’s like heaven in a little jar. Afternoon tea is a great excuse to get fancied up and indulge in treats with great company.

I paired this Club Monaco lace top and pink midi skirt for the perfect amount of feminine and lady-like for the occasion. I love how delicate the lace is too. Since cream and pink are two of my favorite colors, I know I can’t go wrong when I combine them.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I'm so excited to launch my blog and share with you some amazing fashion, prettiness, and places to see in Baltimore and beyond! City Girl Charm is for the every day girl who is looking to add some fun to their life!

Follow along with me as I explore my new home and find out how Baltimore lives up to it's nickname "Charm City."

XO,
Tiffany
