The Washington Monument sits at the center of Mount Vernon Place and is surrounded by park squares. It's not hard to see why this instantly became a favorite place of mine! As soon as the weather warmed up (sooo much snow this year!),  Danny and I headed over to capture the hundreds of tulips that had popped up overnight.

With plenty of park benches and fountains, I love grabbing a cup of coffee from my favorite cafe nearby and people watch outside.

Earlier this year, Who What Wear launched a collection for Target and I am completely in love with their striped dress. It is so soft and comfortable, and I am such a sucker for stripes! Paired with simple black pumps and the straw hat I brought back from France last summer, I felt instantly transported back to the beautiful countryside in Avignon.

We were supposed to be in Paris celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary this week. Now it feels like those plans were made in an alternative reality or another lifetime with everything that has happened in the world. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
